Hello dear friends!
I’m writing to you on Christmas Eve… I’ve just done my penultimate round of Christmas shopping for food at Borough Market and collected my turkey ready for the big day. I have pre-cooked some stuffing and cabbage and I, like many of you, am very close to peak frazzlement. I, like many of you, have had a cold since mid-November, but pushed on through December like a faithful old workhorse – deadlines to meet, presents to buy, important meetings to have, parties! all before the year runs out…
Working Differently is meant to be about working in a way that works better for you. All my interviews are with people who work in a way that doesn’t fit the norm in order to make themselves happier and yet this month I’ve been guilty of the very thing I’m trying not to represent; that slightly masochistic feeling of pushing yourself when you should be resting, because you feel you have to.
